Before finding Blessed Yoga, Jen’s YouTube channel, I never actually enjoyed yoga. Yoga always made me anxious and gave me that “I can’t wait till this is over feeling.” When I started doing Jen’s videos over the summer, I found a new love for yoga. Her videos bring so much peace and calm to my day, but still give my body a fiery workout. Jen makes you feel so comfortable and capable, which is something I’ve never found in other teachers. I now would consider myself a yogi. I am super excited for the app and can’t wait for new videos! 🩷

I do your YouTube videos over and over and I love them so much!!! I used to practice with another woman but when I tried yours I was actually sore and I could feel it all through my body. Even as a beginner I really like that you push a little or offer adjustments to try adding something extra if we can. I will practice for a month then take a month off and go back to it. I took a whole year off it was not a good time for me but when I went back I started the beginner videos over and they aren’t so basic that they still push you. I love when you have us shake our legs or wiggle our hips it’s feels really nice it’s a great reset. Maybe reminders to breathe more might help. You probably do that but I’m so focused on the movement I forget my breath all the time. I love your videos! Can’t wait for more variety!

I have never practiced yoga before. It was never my thing, but after joining Awaken and practicing with Jen in person, I am now practicing every morning with one of Jen’s videos! There is something so soothing about working with Jen either in person or on video. She makes you feel safe, like no one is judging you and safe to test your body and see if you can push your limit just a little bit further each day. She is also intentional in her practice which I love. She lets you know the intention for why and how you’re going to use your body that day, as well as set your own intention. She is so pure of heart and just makes you feel proud of setting aside that 20 minutes a day for you!

JEN you were my gateway drug to yoga in 2020! Since? Let’s see. I’ve vowed to get my yoga teacher cert, I have a personal practice I gravitate towards effortlessly, and my mat is my truly safe place. More than that though, I am my safe place. I feel like my frontal lobe has developed in the last 4 years because I’ve tuned into your presence, your passion, your quiet but gorgeously loud energy. What I like about your yoga is the fact that it's really a flow. I feel like I am dancing,  and challenging myself with amazing and original transitions. I have never found the same yoga ... I am looking forward to practice with you again (from France !)

I first tried Jen's yoga classes after one of my strength workouts. I loved how she taught--her thoughtful instruction, her gentleness and passion for yoga. I absolutely fell in love with yoga after starting her classes, I move differently in and out of the gym. Im more flexible, and I love feeling open. Some of my favorite yoga practices by Jen are her hip series. I can tell she thoughtfully selects the sequence of yoga movements and motivates you to sit with the stretch to eventually feel open and free in those tight hip joints. I don't know Jen, but she has an incredible composure and teaching energy that it made me feel like she was my virtual yogi godmother. She kept saying in her practices, that you are a goddess of fearlessness and embrace that in your pose, and I use that quote off and on the yoga mat! Can't wait to get back into Jen's classes

 After attending Awaken I decided to incorporate yoga into my daily practices. I started with Jen's  ten day challenge "journey2you" on YouTube. Everyday on this journey there was a theme and each theme allowed me to really reflect while performing the movements. Jen's voice and instruction is very easy to follow, something which I always looked for at other yoga studios I've been to. After completing this journey I jumped to her other ten day challenge "tooblessedtobestressed," another ten day challenge I loved. I repeated both these challenges for about 3 months every day until I felt confident it was time to move on to another journey with yoga. My favorite yoga practice of Jen's is day 1 Rise of "journey2you."
